Behaviours
and Values
Our user led approach aligns to the One University values and we have translated those values into a set of delivery expectations to define how we work together to deliver better outcomes for students and staff.
Good enough today is better than perfect tomorrow.
Good enough means digital services are reliable, secure, and work for our users i.e. people can use them easily without a lot of support. We need to be consistently brilliant at the basics for students and staff.
We eat our own ‘dog food’.
We use our products and services ourselves before we offer them to our customers. No shortcuts, no double standards.
We don’t assume.
We find out.
We know our services are reliable if we measure their performance. We know our services are secure if we continuously monitor and test our security measures. We know our services work for our users if we ask them and they tell us.
We listen to our users.
Understanding what our users need, how they interact with our services and what they think of them is part of everyone’s job. We actively seek these insights, we share them with our colleagues, and we use them to make our services better.
We do not commit to delivering a solution if the problem is not clear.
We welcome ideas and suggestions from everyone but it is our job to understand what the problem is and then how we can solve it.
