Automation – What Are We Doing
Processes will be prioritised to ensure they are supporting the business need. The prioritisation will measure elements such as volume, time and frustration, as well as opportunities. For example:
- Large volume tasks with excessive data transfers or copying
- Processes that staff, and students, find frustrating
- If there is a compliance requirement to be met
- If identified suitable during the Professional Services Change Initiative work
We will work with you to identify the processes that are routine, repetitive and prone to human error to prioritise and determine if they can be automated.
Automation can be accomplished in 3 ways:
- Using the workflows and rules within current systems (OneUni Student, OneUni Finance, etc)
- Creating Power Automate processes for Microsoft systems within Office 365.
- Through an industry leading tool called Blue Prism that will interface with multiple systems to complete a process.
When we work with you all we ask is that you commit to work with us, Why?
It is important that we commit the right people and skills to enable automation of the processes. With a short timescale and a wide demand, capacity and commitment to working with the team will factor in the decision-making process.
As the Subject Matter Experts of your processes, we need you to show us how they work. We ask you to demonstrate how you carry out the task and we record it to create a plan
You need to be available for us to contact for assistance in answering questions from Assess through to Training and be free to test the product, and support the implementation, deployment and monitoring of the final product, we will explain this in greater detail during the engagement and make sure a full guide for working with the new Virtual Member of your team is available
